This item was part of the 'barista-kit' bundle and its design, finish and function are on par with the high quality and finish of the other items i recived (bottomless portafilter, distribution tool, slimline screen...). Well worth investing if you're getting serious about your coffee.

Could have been 5 stars but only 4 as I was disappointed it didn’t come with a dedicated cover to sit the tamper on to protect the surface of the base.

Works exactly as it should. Well built and fits my 54mm portafilter perfectly. Less spraying than Before and now I can focus on gring and distribution instead of tamping pressure.

as a novice espresso person, I was a tad skeptical this would be better than the plain tamper that came with our rancillio machine, but it is actually much easier to use. fits the portafilter thing better and the spring loaded function helps keep us from over tamping. very happy!
